Statement of Faith
At Koinonia Ministries, our beliefs form the foundation of who we are and why we serve. These are not simply historical doctrines but living truths that shape how we understand God, engage with the world, and respond to the needs of persecuted Christian refugees. These convictions unite our hearts and hands as we offer practical help, advocacy, and spiritual encouragement in Christ’s name.
-
We believe in one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existing in three Persons, the Creator of all things and sovereign over all.
-
We believe in the full divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death for our sins, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father, and promised return.
-
We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells, empowers, comforts, guides, and equips believers for holiness, witness, and service.
-
We believe that salvation is God’s free gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. All who repent and trust in Him receive forgiveness and eternal life.
-
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God, revealing His heart, His purposes, and His redemptive plan for humanity.
The Church
We believe that all followers of Jesus Christ are members of His Body—the global Church—called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and compassionate service.
Human Dignity
We believe that every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, value, and worth, regardless of background, nationality, or status.
Love for the Stranger
We believe in God’s call to welcome and care for the stranger among us, showing the same love and compassion that God has shown to us (Leviticus 19:33–34).
Mission and Compassion
We believe that Christians are called to embody mercy, pursue justice, and serve the vulnerable, following the example of Christ—especially among those suffering persecution or displacement.
As a ministry, we commit to upholding these beliefs as we walk alongside Christian refugees, offering practical assistance, advocacy, and spiritual encouragement rooted in the love of Christ.
