Basic Needs

Our program is specifically designed to reach the most vulnerable within the refugee community, with a critical focus on:

Vulnerable Refugees in Need: Those living in refugee camps and urban areas who face significant barriers to accessing basic services, often due to logistical, social, or economic hurdles.

Persecuted Christian Families: A key priority is supporting Christian families whose access to necessary assistance, including food, shelter, and medical care, is often hindered or denied because of their religion. We strive to ensure equitable access to humanitarian aid for this particularly marginalized group.

Single Mothers with Many Children: We provide food vouchers once a month to help them go to the market and prepare food from their home country for their families and growing children.

Shelter: We provide temporary housing for refugees who need refugee status and are forced to leave the camps, preventing them from living on the streets and becoming homeless and forced to migrate to other countries.

Computer and English Classes: We run English and computer classes to help refugees learn English and basic computer skills and build conversational skills before moving to other Nordic countries.

Core Humanitarian Assistance

Our Koinonia Ministry with your supports provides basic support to refugees who are temporarily staying in Greece on their way to Northern Europe.

  • Providing regular distributions of nutritious food packages to combat hunger and ensure food security for families and individuals.

  • Supplying essential hygiene kits (soap, sanitary items, etc.) and crucial non-food items (blankets, clothing, cooking utensils) to maintain health, dignity, and basic comfort.

  • Facilitating access to primary medical care, necessary medications, and referrals for specialized treatment for the ill and injured.

  • Offering support for safe, temporary shelter and assistance with essential shelter repairs or rent to ensure families have protection from the elements.

  • Our capacity building initiative focuses on equipping refugees with practical, in-demand skills to foster economic independence and future stability.

    • Vocational Training: Workshops and courses in fields such as basic mechanics, tailoring, digital literacy, and practical trades.

    • Language and Cultural Orientation: Classes to help refugees integrate more effectively into the host community, improving communication and social access.

Beacon of hope

The need is great, but together we can make a lasting difference. Your support enables us to remain a beacon of hope for those who have nowhere else to turn.
